the 8 and 338 will be limited runs probably custom barrels because the market isn't large enough to go to full production.Does anyone here load 338 spectre? I bought a barrel directly from Marty at Teppo Jutsu years ago and built a rifle. we are working on the 6.5 right now, 6.8 is in the works, 30 sabercat is running, now i am starting on the 8mm and then 338 to round them off. we will have them all on the dasher case down the road.

out of the 2 - 338 and 323 i liked the numbers of the 8mm better so that is why it is first. The only reason i am doing an 8 is because 4 or 5 other guys want do do it with me and it has not been done in the ar15 yet. i think he was getting like 3100 fps with the 110gr. the first deer taken with the sabercat were with the 110 ttsx and it was very devastating Wade said he was going to switch to the 130 to tame it down. there are a lot of 308 copper bullets out there. it is running really hard and if wanting to shoot copper bullets i think it would be the best. We sold one round of barrels and I have one 22" left. I am Bruce, and i do have the 30 Sabercat now on Dasher brass. I would be nice to live in a free state LOL and not communist held California. Try carrying the AR with no pistol grip, it's a cumbersome monster, if it has a heavy or longer barrel, it just doesn't carry well, I found the FRS butt stock works but only with a lighter barrel and no muzzle brake and those crappy monster grips are a joke, the shortened thumb grips work. 33 cal or 8mm would be the perfect caliber for a light AR, I have and use most all of the current AR calibers, I have taken deer with the 6.8 spc and was not impressed, wounding and tracking game is not fun, I expect them to drop within 40-60 feet and have harvested over 50 deer only 3 have had to be tracked. 458 socom/,375 socom and the 6.5/6.8 spc would be the ticket, the. I just don't think that you need bullets that are heavy if they are copper, you need fps and frontal area for shock. and way more bullet choices, the 30 cal would never have enough energy for elk or be too practical for bears.

I Think a rifle (AR15) of light weight, firing any bullet above 140 would be good for deer and hogs with 180-225 good for bear and limiting your range also elk.Ĭopper bullets are longer due to differences between copper and lead so bullet choice would even be narrower for my area, Bruce Finneagan thinks the 8mm is a better choice on a dasher case, but I think even a 30 caliber would be awesome it gives you better B.C. 308 is 110 grain barnes, they just stay in one piece and expand well. I live in a Copper projectile only hunting Area, and have found that when utilizing copper bullets such as Barnes, you can reduce the weight of the bullet you are using by one or two weights, for example most of my deer rounds for the 30-06 are 130 grain and my.
